Iran, Pakistan FMs confer on Raeisi visit to Islamabad

TEHRAN, Apr. 21 (MNA) – Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held a phone call with Muhammad Ishaq Dar, his Pakistani counterpart, to confer on bilateral ties and discuss president Raeis's visit to the neighboring nation.

to report «iusnews»; Amir-Abdollahian and Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan held a telephone conversation during which they exchanged views on the growing trend of relations between Tehran and Islamabad and some issues of mutual interest in the region.

In the conversation, the Pakistani minister welcomed and expressed happiness with the upcoming visit of Iran's president Ebrahim Raeisi to his country and described the trip as a turning point in the relations between the two neighboring and Muslim countries.

Amir-Abdollahian, for his part, appreciated the efforts and actions of the government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to prepare for the visit of the Iranian president to Islamabad, describing the long-standing interest and the various cultural, social and religious commonalities between the two countries as a valuable asset in their bilateral relations.

The Iranian minister further emphasized that, "Fortunately, very good coordinations and agreements have been made between different departments in the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan in order to improve the relations between Tehran and Islamabad and in line with serving the interests of the two countries."
