Iran Vows Avenge for Martyrdom of Military Advisors in Syria

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kana’ani issued a strong warning to Tel Aviv over the martyrdom of two Iranian military advisors in an Israeli attack in Syria, assuring that the Zionist regime’s action will not remain unpunished.

to report «iusnews»; Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kana’ani issued a strong warning to Tel Aviv over the martyrdom of two Iranian military advisors in an Israeli attack in Syria, assuring that the Zionist regime’s action will not remain unpunished.

Speaking at a weekly press conference on Monday, Kana'ani vowed that his country would give an appropriate response to any hostile measure.

Asked about the martyrdom of two Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) servicemen in Syria at the hands of Israel, the spokesperson Nasser Kana’ani said Tehran responds to “any violation of its interests in the region and will do so (in the future)”.

“No action against Iran, its interests or our advisory forces will go unanswered,” he stressed.

Kana’ani reminded the enemies that not a single anti-Iranian measure will remain unanswered.

In a statement on Saturday, the IRGC confirmed two of its members, Mohammad Ali Ataee Shoorcheh and Panah Taqizadeh, were martyred by the Zionist regime while on an advisory mission.

Since 2011, Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy, as a result of which Daesh (also known as ISIS or ISIL) and other terror groups emerged in the country.

Iran maintains an advisory mission in the war-ravaged country at the request of Damascus, helping it in the face of foreign-backed terrorism. Several members of the IRGC have so far martyred in battle against terrorists in Syria.

Israel has been a key supporter of the terrorist groups during the war and has frequently targeted military positions inside Syria, especially those of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah which has played a key role in helping the Syrian Army in its fight against foreign-backed terrorists.

Iranian officials have repeatedly denounced the Unite Nations Security Council for its silence in the face of the continued Israeli acts of aggression against Syria. They slammed Israeli attacks against civilian population and basic infrastructure in Syria as a flagrant violation of international law and humanitarian rights, and argued that the Security Council’s inaction has emboldened the Tel Aviv regime to broaden the scope of its aggression.
