All Petrol Stations in Iran Back to Normal After Cyberattack

The National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) announced on Tuesday almost all petrol stations across the country are operational after a cyberattack had disrupted the fuel delivery system.

to report «iusnews»; The National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) announced on Tuesday almost all petrol stations across the country are operational after a cyberattack had disrupted the fuel delivery system.

Several petrol stations across Iran, particularly in the capital, Tehran, faced disruption on Monday morning.

Officials said a "technical glitch" has occurred in about 70 percent of the pumps, adding the experts and specialized working groups are working all over the country and the problem will be resolved within hours.

24 hours after the disruption, the NIOPDC managing director, Jafar Salari Nassab, stated more than 40 percent of the stations across the country are connected to a smart system for fueling at subsidized prices.

Other stations are now providing fuel manually without any problem, according to reports.

Iran's Oil Minister Javad Owji on Monday confirmed that a nationwide disruption to petrol stations was caused by a cyberattack.

Salari Nassab also dismissed any link between the fuel delivery disruption and a price rise or a shortage of gasoline and diesel.
