to report «iusnews»; Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kana'ani denounced the terrorist attack at a courthouse in the Turkish city of Istanbul which resulted in death of a civilian and injury of several others.

Kana'ani expressed Iran’s solidarity with the “friendly and brotherly nation” of Turkey in confronting the sinister phenomenon of terrorism.

He expressed sympathy with the bereaved, and wished a swift recovery for the injured.

One person was killed and two alleged attackers shot dead at a court in Istanbul in what Turkish authorities are describing as a “terrorist act”. Six people were also wounded, including three police officers.

Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc stated 34 people have been captured in connection to the incident, without giving further details.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, but officials blamed the incident on the leftist armed group Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party/Front (DHKP-C).

The DHKP-C has been blamed for a string of attacks and suicide bombings in Turkey since 1990. Authorities have carried out several operations against the group over the years, detaining and killing dozens of its members.
