Hamas Leader Says US Responsible for Hospital Massacre

The United States is responsible for the deadly Israeli attack on the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh stated.

to report «iusnews»; The United States is responsible for the deadly Israeli attack on the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh stated.

“The US holds the responsibility of the hospital attack because of the cover it gives to the Israeli aggression,” Haniyeh said, Al-Jazeera reported.

The Health Ministry in Gaza said on Tuesday that at least 500 people were killed in the air raid on Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in central Gaza.

Haniyeh added that the attack confirmed Israel’s “brutality” and the extent of its “defeat” after Hamas’s operation on October 7.

He also called for Palestinians in the occupied West Bank to rise up against the Israeli occupation – just as thousands take to the streets in Ramallah.

The Hamas Spokesperson Osama Hamdan also said, “I believe that this crime will not take place unless there was a green light from the United States. Everyone understands that (US Secretary Antony) Blinken spent yesterday night with the [Israeli war] cabinet for more than five hours, and tomorrow everyone is expecting President (Joe) Biden to visit the region.”

“It’s clear they are preparing the land for something to tell everyone that all the needed steps have been done to evacuate Gaza, which will not take place,” he added.

“I believe that the Palestinians themselves will not leave, and I believe that the Arab countries will not accept that. I have to say that we are watching a war crime, not just from the Israelis, but also from the Americans,” Hamdan said.

Earlier, The Palestinian Islamic Jihad denounced Israeli accusation that it was responsible for the hospital strike.

“The Zionist enemy is trying hard to evade its responsibility for the brutal massacre he committed by bombing the Baptist Arab National Hospital in Gaza through his usual fabrication of lies, and through pointing the finger of blame at the Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine,” it said in a statement.

“We therefore affirm the accusations put forward by the enemy are false and baseless,” it added.

Israel launched the assault on Gaza after Hamas resistance movement carried out a surprise operation from the territory in Southern Israel.

At least 3,200 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza. An additional 12,500 people have been injured, the ministry added.
