IRGC Navy Commander: Aliens Looking for Regional Discord in Strait of Hormuz

Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri underlined that the presence of trans-regional troops in the Strait of Hormuz merely aims to bring about friction among the Muslim nations of the region.

to report «iusnews»; Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri underlined that the presence of trans-regional troops in the Strait of Hormuz merely aims to bring about friction among the Muslim nations of the region.

Admiral Tangsiri made the remarks in a meeting with Oman’s Brigadier Hamid bin Abdullah Al Balushi, the Assistant Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces for Operations and Planning, in the Southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas.

“The responsibility of ensuring security in the strategic Strait of Hormuz besets on the regional countries and the presence of foreigners is only aimed at sowing discord among the Muslim nations,” Admiral Tangsiri said.

"Iran has always sought to reinforce unity among Muslim nations. It is imperative to support all Muslim nations and we do not differentiate between Shia and Sunni Muslims," he added.

He said Tehran and Muscat enjoy deep-seated relations of cooperation.

Admiral Tangsiri appreciated Oman’s support for the eight-year war imposed by then-Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein on Iran.

In relevant remarks earlier this week, the IRGC Navy commander said that his country's Naval Forces have frustrated the self-proclaimed maritime superpowers.

In a message to Commander of the Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Shahram Irani on the occasion of the Iranian Navy Day, Admiral Tangsiri stated Iran’s Navy and the IRGC's Navy have turned into “a progressive and deterrent power” in various dimensions in West Asia.

“The Iranian naval forces have undertaken their important task of defending the holy Islamic Republic establishment and the Islamic Revolution at the current critical time, inspiring respect from all self-proclaimed maritime superpowers and frustrating them,” he stressed on Monday.

The senior commander emphasized that Iran’s maritime sovereignty was achieved through unity and rapport.

Tangrisi added that the Iranian naval forces are not afraid of any power other than the divine nature and that they will do their best in the path generating power for the country and leading to its progress.
