to report «iusnews»; Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian urged Pakistan to designate Jaish Al-Adl group — which was behind the recent deadly attack on a police headquarter in Sistan and Baluchistan Province — as a terrorist organization.
A fatal raid on a police station in Southeastern Iran killed 11 police forces and injured several more on Friday.
In a telephone conversation with his Pakistan counterpart Jalil Abbas Jilani on Monday, Amir Abdollahian asked Islamabad to label Jaish Al-Adl as a terror group.
The Iranian diplomat also called for the promotion of bilateral cooperation with Pakistan in order to stop terrorist attacks and ensure security and stability along common borders.
The Pakistan-based so-called Jaish Al-Adl terror group, which has conducted several bomb attacks and kidnappings in Southeastern Iran in recent years in a bid to disrupt the country’s security, has claimed responsibility for the Friday’s assault.
The Pakistani minister, for his part, condemned the terrorist attack, and said close collaboration between the two countries was necessary to counter terrorism.
Denouncing terrorism as a common threat to Iran, Pakistan and the entire region, Jilani gave the assurance that his government would spare no effort to arrest those behind the "act of terror".
