to report «iusnews»; Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Rayeesi said that the US-backed Israeli genocidal war against the Gaza Strip which led to the death of almost 20,000, mainly children and women, has caused anger amongst the entire world.
In a Tuesday telephone conversation with his Turkmen counterpart Sardar Bardimohamedov, Iran’s president denounced "what is being afflicted on the oppressed people of Gaza in terms of oppression and crime, by the Zionist regime and the US”.
He added the atrocities have “deeply affected and enraged not only all the world's Muslims, but only the entire people of the world”.
Israel has been carrying out heavy bombardment across the Gaza Strip since early October, killing almost 20,000 Palestinians, including thousands of children and women, and wounding at least 52,000 others, and levelling entire neighbourhoods. Thousands more are missing and feared buried under the rubble. The bombing, as well as enforced displacement orders by the Israeli Army, has also pushed 1.9 million people out of their homes. Tel Aviv has also imposed a "complete siege" on Gaza, cutting off food, electricity, fuel and water supplies. The move has plunged the blockaded territory into a humanitarian crisis.
Iranian officials say the United States is waging a war on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip through Israel. They stress the death of thousands of Palestinians in the blockaded territory is the outcome of Washington’s massive military equipment’s shipments to the occupied territories, calling for the trial of Israeli and American officials for their crimes against the Palestinian people. They note if Washington’s political and military aid to Zionists is cut off, the regime won’t be able to proceed its military campaign against the besieged strip.
During the phone call, Rayeesi also emphasized the need to use all available capacities towards providing assistance to the oppressed people of Gaza.
