to report «iusnews»; Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip laid bare the inefficiency of several global bodies as they failed to stop the Zionist regime’s war machine in the besieged enclave.
Speaking at the 7th conference on multilateralism in the history of Iran's foreign relations in Tehran on Sunday, Amir Abdollahian described the Gaza crisis as the “benchmark of egalitarian and humanitarian slogans” in the current century.
“Every freedom-seeking person should ask himself and the leaders of the international community what is the achievement of international organizations in solving the Palestinian crisis,” he continued, asking, “Did multilateralism, joint view and global action help mankind?”
Israel has been carrying out heavy bombardment across the Gaza Strip since early October, killing nearly 26,500 Palestinians, including thousands of children and women, and wounding almost 65,000 others, and levelling entire neighbourhoods. Thousands more are missing and feared buried under the rubble.
Iranian officials have repeatedly called on the international bodies to adopt serious and deterrent measures to prevent further the Israeli regime’s crimes against Gazans, instead of issuing statements.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Amir Abdollahian stated that “massive war crimes” have been going on against the people of Gaza by the Israeli regime for about four months.
“A collection of murders, massacres, forced displacement and genocide is before the eyes of the world,” the top diplomat stressed.
