Iran, Iraq call for criminalization of Israeli crimes against Palestinians

Iran’s Judiciary Chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejeie and Iraq’s Acting Speaker of Council of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandalawi have called for paving the legal ground to criminalize Israeli crimes against Palestinians.

to report «iusnews»; Iran’s Judiciary Chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejeie and Iraq’s Acting Speaker of Council of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandalawi have called for paving the legal ground to criminalize Israeli crimes against Palestinians.

The two met in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Wednesday, with the Iranian judiciary chief saying that parliaments of the two neighboring countries can pass laws to promote support for the oppressed Palestinian nation and cut the hands of foreigners from Islamic territories.

“We are witnessing brutal crimes being committed by the Israeli regime against the oppressed and powerful people of Gaza, which take place with the support of the US and certain Western states. Therefore, we need to pass laws and criminalize certain crimes committed by the Zionists in a bid to pave the ground for bringing them to justice,” Mohseni Ejeie said.

He added that other Islamic countries should also be encouraged to take a firm stance on countering acts of aggression on Islamic lands, while they should work on cutting political and economic ties with the Israeli regime.

Al-Mandalawi, for his part, urged Arab and Islamic parliaments to pass laws in order to criminalize any relationship with both the Israeli regime and the countries that support it.

Mohseni Ejei arrived in Iraq at the head of a high-ranking judicial delegation on Tuesday upon an invitation by Chairman of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council Faiq Zidane.
