to report «iusnews»; Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has called on all people to participate in the upcoming elections, saying elections are the main pillar of the Islamic Republic.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a meeting with a group of people from East Azarbaijan province in the Imam Khomeini Hussainia on Sunday morning.
“The way to reform the country is through elections,” he said.
The Supreme Leader noted that elections have always been held safe and sound in the country, and “God willing, this time will be the same.”
Political differences should not affect the national unity of the Iranian nation against the enemies, he stated.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei said the enemy should not be regarded as weak and incapable.
“An important condition for victory is knowing the capabilities of the enemy but not being afraid of it,” he added.
The Supreme Leader also sent his greetings to “all the people of Tabriz, all the people of Azerbaijan, those dear people, those zealous people, and Azarbaijan literally means love and zeal.”
“Azarbaijan is the epitome of zeal, the epitome of love, the epitome of faith, the epitome of religious and Islamic enthusiasm. This is what we have read in the history of Azarbaijan and Tabriz, and what we have seen with our own eyes during these long years from the time of the struggles until today.”
