Tehran-ISNA- Speaking in the inaugural ceremony of “Qiz-Qalasi’ Dam and operation of “Khoda Afarin” Dam in East Azarbaijan, which was held in the presence of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, he stated that Aras River has always acted as a link between people of the two countries.
“Iran and Azerbaijan have established longstanding relations which dates back to 50 years ago”, President Raisi said, adding that the very intimate cooperation and collaboration between the two countries have raised glimmers of hope among people of the two nations.

“Iran is ready to export the technical and engineering services to the Republic of Azerbaijan and other countries”, Raisi underlined.
He congratulated the Republic of Azerbaijan that took control of Nagorno-Karabakh region, so that Iran believes in the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
“The issue of Palestine is the first issue of the Islamic world and the two countries share the same view in this regard”, President Raisi emphasized.
