Iran's Ministry of Interior announces that Masoud Pezeshkian won the presidential election runoff with a total of 16,384,403 votes, compared to 13,538,179 votes for Saeed Jalili.

to report «iusnews»The Iranian Ministry of Interior announced the victory of candidate Masoud Pezeshkian in the Iranian presidential elections runoff, following the completion of vote counting in tens of thousands of polling stations across the country.

According to the official figures from the Ministry, Pezeshkian received 16,384,403 votes, compared to 13,538,179 votes for conservative candidate Saeed Jalili, thus becoming the ninth elected president of the Islamic Republic of Iran since the victory of the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini in 1979.

Masoud Pezeshkian has garnered support from the reformist coalition across its various factions since the early stages of the elections.
